How to Be a Good Boss During Trying Times

On-Demand Webinar

Summary

We’re all feeling it—anxiety, stress, fear, and a general frustration around not knowing what will happen next. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, businesses are suffering, people are losing income and jobs, and long-standing organizational processes are being turned upside down. Every boss now faces the challenge of managing worried people in a era of relentless troubling news, uncertainty, and financial distress.
In this free webinar, Professors Bob Sutton and Huggy Rao will offer guidance on how managers and leaders can rise to the occasion. They will draw on rigorous research and lessons from wise and caring leaders to show bosses how to make, communicate, and implement necessary tough decisions. You'll learn how skilled bosses can minimize harm to employees, make prudent financial decisions, and set the stage for organizations to bounce back faster.
You Will Learn:
  • How leaders do things during tough times is as important as WHAT they do.
  • How to use predictability, understanding, and control to bolster employee well-being and performance.
  • Why compassionate, caring, and tough-minded leadership is more crucial in bad times than good.
  • How to innovate during trying times. And why innovation is more important, easier to accomplish, and often more effective in bad times than good.
